Museum hosts underwater cave explorer Sam MeachamMarch 9, 2007 RALEIGH -- Internationally known cave diver Sam Meacham will speak on his recent explorations, which include some of the largest underwater cave complexes in the world, when he visits the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences on Thursday, March 15. His presentation, titled, "Exploring the Uncharted Underwater Caverns of the Yucatan Peninsula," will take place at 1 p.m. and again at 7 p.m. Both presentations are free and open to the public. The North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences, in downtown Raleigh, documents and interprets the natural history of the state of North Carolina through exhibits, research, collections, publications, and educational programming.
