Museum, Wildlife Resources Commission announce photo competition June 1, 2005 RALEIGH -- Got a great wildlife photograph you think should be published? Or placed on exhibit? Now is your opportunity. The state's premier wildlife publication, Wildlife in North Carolina, in conjunction with the NC Museum of Natural Sciences, invite one and all to participate in the Wildlife in North Carolina 2005 Photo Competition. The competition, which runs until Sept. 30, will hand out awards in 10 categories: Birds; Mammals; Reptiles and Amphibians; Invertebrates; Wildflowers and Fruits; Outdoor Recreation; Peaks, Valleys and Plains; Habitats of Concern; Youth Photographer, 13-17; and Youth Photographer, 12 and under. The grand prize winner will have their photo published on the cover of the January 2006 issue of Wildlife in North Carolina; all winners will be published in the magazine and exhibited at the N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences in Raleigh. A list of prizes, rules and more detailed
category descriptions are printed in the June issue
of Wildlife in North Carolina and
are available on the N.C. Wildlife Resources Commission's

All photos must be entered electronically. The North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences, in downtown Raleigh, documents and interprets the natural history of the state of North Carolina through exhibits, research, collections, publications, and educational programming.
