“Powers of Nature” reveals the science behind natural disasters—how natural forces unleash their fury, how experts predict natural events, and how these forces affect our lives. With more than 50 interactive exhibits, videos, immersion experiences, artifacts and personal stories, “Powers of Nature” explores the mighty forces in and around our Earth. The exhibit was designed and developed by the Franklin Institute Science Museum, Philadelphia, for the Science Exhibit Museum Collaborative. “Powers of Nature” is sponsored locally by Progress Energy, and runs October 19 through February 16 in the Museum’s Special Exhibits Hall.

Teachers can enjoy a private viewing of “Powers of Nature” and explore with Museum educators learning opportunities offered by the exhibit and many other Museum programs. Refreshments provided by the Woman’s Club of Raleigh.
To register, call Sher Buckner at (919) 733-7450,
ext. 381, by Oct. 16.
