Research Interests

Primary focus is on management of the bird collection and associated data. Also support of bird unit research projects including the Swainson’s Warbler and Painted Bunting. Interests include morphometrics/population differences of Prothonotary and Black-throated Green warblers and Yellow-bellied Sapsucker. Oversees a bird banding program at the Museum’s Prairie Ridge Ecostation site. Finally, conducts outreach programs for the bird unit that vary from giving talks to a wide variety of audiences, to leading local and national bird tours.
