Research
– on-going funding for the Museum’s natural science research program,
which includes initiatives on habitat preservation, water quality, and
North Carolina dinosaurs. Exhibits – funding for the creation and distribution of special exhibits that will travel from the Museum across the state and around the country. Proposed exhibits include "First in Flight – from pterosaurs to eagles". Education – funding for the natural science education programs that the Museum distributes to schools and communities throughout North Carolina. Programs include teacher workshops and programs for special populations. Ways of Giving The Friends of the Museum is a 501 c 3 charitable organization, whose mission is to support the activities of the Museum of Natural Sciences. Gifts can be made in cash, or pledged over a number of years. Gifts of appreciated stock are welcome.
