Anhinga_drying_its_wings

Anhingas stalk their prey while swimming almost fully submerged in the water — a feat made possible by their dense bones and non-waterproof feathers. As a result of their hunting style, Anhingas must spend time sunning themselves, to raise their body temperatures as well as to dry their feathers.
