The Museum
comes to you with touchable live animals, natural objects, and exceptional
educators. Our lively sessions can be geared for any age, from civic groups
to birthday parties, senior center gatherings to youth group meetings,
public library programs, and after-school programs. We can even offer
a booth for large-scale community gatherings.

Endangered Animals of North Carolina
Ages 6 and up
What does being an endangered animal really mean? Tackle the confusing terms, hear about successful recoveries, and learn how you can help. Participants will meet some of North Carolina’s protected species up-close.
Venomous
Snakes and Spiders of North Carolina
Ages 6 and up
Discover the differences between dangerous and harmless species of snakes
and spiders. Examine live, nonvenomous snakes as well as various types
of spiders in a safe, non-threatening environment.
Bats: Myths & Reality
Ages 6 and up
Dispel myths and learn interesting facts about the world's only flying
mammal. Discover why bats are important to our ecosystem.

Acrocanthosaurus
All ages
Meet the “Terror of the South” at your next festival or community gathering!
The Museum provides a display with a cast of the skull of its rare Acrocanthosaurus
dinosaur. Museum educators interpret the skull and answer questions about
this famed dinosaur of the South.
