During their 20-day mission, Life on the Edge 2005 researchers and educators from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington,
the US Geological Survey, the National Marine Service Systematics Lab,
and the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences collected data and specimens from the Gulf Stream
and the edge of the continental shelf.
The North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences has been involved with Life on the Edge
