Equipment Used: ROV (Remotely Operated Vehicle)

Description: ROV went down on a tether called a TMS, or Tether Management System. When the TMS got to about 700 feet it stopped and then the ROV had about 400 feet to move around and look for things. They spotted a steel hulled ship about 120 feet long and 18 feet wide heavily encrusted with anemones. They also saw what appeared to be grouper and a wreckfish. We had to bring the ROV back in because the winds were picking up.

The story we have heard about why this is called the "Snowy Wreck" is that it's because of the snowy grouper that are caught here.

Description of Catch: Many small brittle stars, shrimp and crabs. One 8-inch flounder and several smaller ones. Also caught a starfish and some different types of fish.
